Framing Your Practice
Photography + image-use terms · v1.1 · effective August 29, 2026
Framing Your Practice is a photographed event. Permission to be photographed and the image-use acknowledgement are part of booking in Calendly.
Your photographs
You receive finished portraits you can use for your own personal and professional self-promotion, including your website, social media, teacher and studio profiles, workshops and retreats, press and bio materials, and printed promotion.
Copyright
Jay Muhlin retains copyright in the photographs and has editorial discretion to determine the finished photographic work.
Permission you give
Selected finished photographs may be used for Framing Your Practice, Jay / Lemon Juice and Tru Yoga professional presentation, websites and social media, newsletters, editorial and project communications, exhibitions, documentation, printed promotion, and promotion of this project and future editions.
Not permitted
Age
Participants confirm in Calendly that they are 18 or older. This edition is for participants 18 and over.
Acceptance
By checking the required acknowledgement in Calendly and submitting your appointment, you confirm that you have read and agree to the versioned terms shown here.
Your license
You receive a non-exclusive license to use the finished photographs you receive for personal and professional self-promotion, including websites, social media, teacher or studio profiles, workshops, retreats, press and bio materials, and printed promotion. You may crop or resize a finished photograph for those uses, but you may not resell, sublicense, or materially alter the photograph without written permission.
Project use
You give Jay Muhlin / Lemon Juice and Vanessa Airey / Tru Yoga permission to use selected finished photographs from Framing Your Practice for the project, portfolios, websites, social media, newsletters, editorial and project communications, exhibitions, documentation, printed promotion, and promotion of this project or future editions.
This permission applies only to finished photographs selected by Jay. RAW files, proofs, test frames, near-duplicates, and unfinished images are excluded.
Name + withdrawal
You may ask Jay in writing not to identify you by name in future public uses. You may also withdraw permission for future project use of your photographs by emailing jay@lemonjuiceprojects.com.
Withdrawal applies prospectively: it does not undo printed materials, exhibitions, publications, posts, or other uses already produced or distributed. For online uses controlled directly by Jay / Lemon Juice or Tru Yoga, reasonable removal requests will be completed within 30 days.
Scope
Jay determines the photographic edit and which images are offered as finished work. Participants choose their included photographs and any additional photographs only from that curated set. Proofs, test frames, near-duplicates, outtakes, unfinished files, and RAW files are not delivered.
Agreement
Your Calendly acknowledgement is your electronic acceptance of these Photography + Image Use Terms v1.1. These terms are governed by the laws of New York State. Questions about the photography, image use, or this agreement can be sent to jay@lemonjuiceprojects.com.
Photographic practice
Jay brings about 30 years of experience across art, editorial, visual content, museum, and institutional photography. The portrait is not treated as a stream of files to hand over; selection is part of the photographic process.
After the session, Jay makes the first edit and offers only photographs he believes are strong enough to become finished work. Participants choose their included photographs — and any additional photographs — only from that curated set.
This keeps authorship and participant choice in the same process: Jay determines what enters the edit; the participant decides which photographs from that edit become theirs.
